Training Providers

To meet the needs of its end users, Sun may appoint Training Providers worldwide to sell and deliver MySQL training. To access the program your company will be required to enter into a separate agreement with Sun. Sun offers three types of training partnerships:

Authorized MySQL Education Centers (AMEC)

To develop markets and satisfy increased demand for MySQL training in areas of the globe in which Sun does not have a direct presence, Sun will partner with experienced, professional technical training organizations focused on open source, the LAMP stack, or other complementary technologies. As an AMEC partner, you are responsible for maintaining the high standard of excellence that Sun customers have come to expect from Sun. Revenue shares are available to AMEC partners that resell and deliver MySQL training.

Authorized MySQL Academic Partners (AMAP)

The AMAP program was created to introduce students to MySQL technologies. Qualified Academic Institutions can partner with Sun to expose their students to the latest MySQL technologies, using course materials designed by Sun that lead to students to certification.

As a core benefit, AMAP partners are able to purchase heavily discounted MySQL course materials for the most popular courses:

• MySQL 5.0 for Beginners
• MySQL 5.0 for Developers
• MySQL 5.0 for Database Administrators

Authorized MySQL Education Resellers (AMER)

For organizations who interested in MySQL Training, but that are not interested in (or do not qualify) for the AMEC program, are in areas in which Sun is not currently looking for delivery partners, or are looking to augment their revenues by expanding their product portfolio, Sun offers an Authorized MySQL Education Reseller (AMER) program. AMER partners are able to resell all MySQL training products; public and private classes; training credits; and certification vouchers.

As a core benefit, an AMER partner will receive a 15% resell margin on all classes sold, a 20% margin on certification voucher sales, and a tiered margin scheme for the sale of training credits.
